On a short break, last month, I decided to head west towards the beautiful county of Cornwall.

I stayed in Falmouth, but walked around a lot and discovered some amazing, truly stunning places, one of them is the paradisiacal Cove restaurant in Maenporth Beach (Falmouth). Below is the view facing diners  from the restaurant.

Once at my table, the staff were impeccably polite and attentive to detail.  I felt incredbly spoilt. My menu choices were: local sea bass fillet with a caramelized garlic and smoked cheese risotto ball in a white wine sauce served with chunky roasted potatoes all this washed down with a beautifully smooth Cornish pilsner.  For dessert: a decadent apple crumble with Calvados cream.

I finished drinking my Pilsner out on the “veranda” which faces directly onto the beach.  I was in awe. The horizon mixed with the sea,  a breathtaking view for its sheer beauty, peace and most of all nature at its best! The Cove is a gem.  I’d travel to Cornwall again just to dine there! (and I will!)
